Job Description:
Teknion is looking for a skilled Consultant for our Irving, TX office. The primary focus for this position will be application design and development in Microsoft .NET technologies. The successful candidate will be responsible for gathering requirements, application design, database design, development, testing, and implementation. Engagements range from 100% custom application development to enterprise portal implementations, Business Intelligence, Data Warehousing and more. Applicants must have a strong background in the Microsoft development stack, including Microsoft Visual Studio (2008, 2010), C#, ASP.NET, and SQL Server. Familiarity with Microsoft SharePoint or other BI tools are a plus. Applicants must have excellent communication skills (verbal and written), be highly self-motivated, be a clear thinker, demonstrate leadership potential, and maintain outstanding professionalism.
Qualifications:
Degree in the area of MIS, CIS, or Computer Science or related experience
2-5 years minimum application development experience in a professional environment
2-4 years minimum experience with Microsoft .NET application development
2-4 years minimum experience with Microsoft SQL Server in an application development environment.
Solid Database Design skills
Solid Object Oriented Design skills
Good understanding of HTML, JavaScript/JQuery, and basic web UI design principles.
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Must be quick to pick up new technologies, and have a desire to learn new things.
Experience with Microsoft SharePoint, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS not required but considered a plus.
