Overview "Introduction to DataStage"
- Learn the basics of DataStage set-up, administration and security. Create, run, monitor and save a job
- Understand and work with stages and links
- Design, compile and run Jobs from designer. Learn DataStage Director and Relational Data Jobs. Work with metadata.
- Get into real world examples and data; define derivations, add and define constraints, operands, and operators; aggregate data using the aggregator stage with different kinds of aggregations and sort using the sort stage
- Work with Reference Lookups, hashed file lookups and ODBC lookups.
- Understand DataStage Manager components including browsing the repository objects exporting and importing metadata and running and interpreting Usage Analysis reports
- Application oriented: troubleshoot a job; develop a complex job; define and create a batch sequence and a job sequence; schedule and monitor jobs
- Be familiar with the most common built-in DataStage functions, transforms and routines as well as creating custom functions and transforms
