  • Job Description

    Teknion is looking for a talented and motivated Client Sales Executive for our Irving, TX office. The primary focus for this position will be achieving revenue and margin goals for the organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and calling on potential new customers, creating value propositions that meet the customer’s needs, and developing ongoing customer relationships. Additionally, this individual will need to maintain customer data, sales activity and forecasts in a CRM system. As a part of the sales process the Client Executive will represent Teknion Data Solutions at local and national show and meetings. The successful candidate will be responsible for interfacing with clients to gather requirements, database design and development, ETL design and development, BI solution design and development, dashboard and visualization development, testing, and solution implementation and maintenance. Engagements range from Proofs of Concept and Data Marts to Enterprise Data Warehouses. The consultant may also contribute on custom application development projects as needed. Applicants must be well rounded in a variety of technical skills that will be used across all kinds of consulting engagements. The successful candidate will be responsible for gathering requirements, application design, database design, development, testing, and implementation. Engagements range from 100% custom application development to enterprise portal implementations, Business Intelligence, Data Warehousing and more. Applicants must have a strong background in the Microsoft development stack, including Microsoft Visual Studio (2008, 2010, or 2012), C#, ASP.NET, and SQL Server.     Teknion is looking for a Senior Consultant for our Irving, TX office. The primary focus for this position will be delivering Custom Software solutions to our clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for interfacing with clients to gather requirements, perform relational database design and development, custom software design and development, testing, and solution implementation and maintenance.     • Strong skills interacting with 3rd party APIs in both REST and SOAP formats as well as working with common authentication and authorization mechanisms used.
    • Strong skills in data querying, manipulation, transformation, movement, and storage including usage of tools such as SSIS, Alteryx, Informatica, etc.

  • Job Description

    Responsibilities

    Marketing/Sales Support

    • Act as an extension of the sales and marketing team
    • Work with marketing and sales to help get the company’s name in the public via social media, events, campaigns, etc.
    • Support social media and website efforts along with updates
    • Help coordinate marketing plans and campaigns
    • Provide support of templates/content for flyers, brochures, presentations, RFPs, RFIs, etc.
    • Keep promotional materials ready; inventorying stock; placing orders; business cards, event materials, file of current positioning, etc.
    • Provide support for RFI and RFPs – presentations, proofing, ordering supplies, documentation, supporting templates, etc.

    List Management

    • Build client profiles and stats for all clients including direct, pro serv and training
    • Maintain up to date client contact lists
    • Maintain training list from Training that Teknion conducts directly and indirectly via partners
    • Maintain Austin and DFW TUG lists
    • Maintain event, and target email lists

     Research/Events

    • Research competitors, their product offerings, strategies, pricing, marketing, etc. and maintain a competitive research file for easy reference by organization
    • Research meetings and trade shows company may have interest in by identifying, assembling, and coordinating activities around the event; developing schedules and assignments; coordinating mailing lists
    • Assist in event planning and coordination – research accommodations, menus, etc. 
    • Support scheduled events – reserving rooms, ordering food, providing supplies, follow up, name tags, etc.

     

  • Qualifications

     
    • 4-year college degree
