And with Facebook's recent name change to Meta, there is a growing interest in what opportunities the Metaverse will create for social media, entertainment, sports, and even business applications. From a data perspective, there are complexities as well as opportunities that will need to be explored. PETER VOGEL

Peter S. Vogel is Of Counsel in the Litigation Section and a member of the Privacy, Security & Information Management Team, the Technology Transactions & Outsourcing Team, the NFT Task Force, and the Blockchain Task Force. Before practicing law, he worked as a systems programmer, received a Masters’ in Computer Science, and taught graduate courses in information systems. Peter has had trials around the US on software implementations, misappropriation of trade secrets, copyright infringement, software patent infringement, and Internet disputes. For 12 years, Peter served as the Founding Chair of the Texas Supreme Court Judicial Committee on Information Technology which is responsible for helping automate the Texas court system and creating the Texas eFiling System. Peter has taught courses at the SMU Dedman School of Law for more than 25 years including courses on eDiscovery and the Law of eCommerce. Kyle has held several professorial positions at Southern Methodist University, Baylor College of Medicine, and the University of North Texas. Kyle co-authored the yhat package in R programming language. Additionally, Kyle is an expert in Multilevel Modeling and co-authored "The Handbook of Advanced Multilevel Analysis."
